Members can have a profile picture (avatar) that appears in the dashboard and, depending on your setup, in member lists or next to their name.

Upload a profile picture (for yourself)

  1. Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar and open User Preferences (or Profile).
  2. Find Profile picture or Avatar and click Upload (or the image area).
  3. Choose an image file (e.g. JPG, PNG). Crop or adjust if the UI allows.
  4. Save. Your avatar updates in the sidebar and anywhere your profile is shown.

Upload a profile picture (for another member)

  1. Go to Members and open the member (click the row or Edit).
  2. Find Profile picture or Avatar and click Upload (or the placeholder).
  3. Select an image file. Save. The member’s picture appears in the list and on their profile.
Some orgs may restrict who can upload photos for other members (e.g. admins only). Members may be able to upload their own if the app allows.

Supported formats and size

  • Common image formats (e.g. JPG, PNG) are usually supported. Prefer square or near-square images so avatars don’t crop oddly.
  • Large files may be resized automatically. If upload fails, try a smaller image (e.g. under 2 MB).

Remove a profile picture

  • In the same place you uploaded (User Preferences for yourself, or the member edit form for others), look for Remove or Clear next to the picture. The avatar will revert to initials or a default icon.
