# Settings overview

> Club settings vs user preferences, and who can edit

**Settings** in Rowhouse are split into **club (organization) settings** and **user preferences**. Only **admins** can change club settings; any user can change their own preferences.

## Club settings (organization)

* **Who**: Only **admins** of the organization see and edit these.
* **What**: [Club settings](/settings/club-settings) (name, logo, email, description, website, join code), [Subscription](/settings/subscription) (plan, billing), [Stripe Connect](/settings/stripe-connect), [Join code and invite](/settings/join-code-and-invite), [Instant payouts](/settings/instant-payouts) (if available).
* **Where**: **Settings** (and sometimes **Subscription**) in the sidebar; only visible when you are an admin.

## User preferences (your account)

* **Who**: Any logged-in user.
* **What**: Your **name**, **email**, **profile picture**, **theme** (light/dark). See [User preferences](/getting-started/user-preferences).
* **Where**: Click your **avatar** at the bottom of the sidebar → **User Preferences**.

## Switching organizations

* Settings are **per organization**. Use the [club switcher](/getting-started/switching-clubs) to change which org you are viewing. Your **user preferences** apply to your account everywhere; **club settings** apply only to the selected org.
